About the Role

NextWave are working with a leading Transmission Infrastructure developer who are developing a large portfolio of projects across the US. As a result of this pipeline of projects progressing, they are looking to hire a Transmission Manager to lead the design of assigned transmission line projects from conception through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead technical scope development and project definition for competitive transmission proposals and grid asset evaluations, aligning engineering strategy with broader company objectives.

• Direct engineering and consulting support during proposal stages to meet ISO/RTO technical requirements and internal development standards.

• Lead procurement efforts post-award by drafting scopes of work and RFPs for services such as transmission line design, lidar, and geotechnical analysis; manage vendor evaluation and selection.

• Oversee external technical partners, ensuring adherence to project-specific design criteria, applicable codes, and performance standards throughout development and execution phases.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify optimal transmission routes and secure critical data and permits necessary for project progression.

• Represent the company in internal and external meetings on engineering and construction matters, providing strategic input on risks, procurement, and execution plans.

• Manage schedules and deliverables to support on-time and compliant project delivery.

• Contribute to broader project development tasks and problem-solving as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electrical Engineering

• Fluency English is essential due to both internal and external stakeholder relationship management duties

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of high voltage transmission line and substation projects

• Right to work in the USA
