About the Company
The company is highly experienced and well ognized industry leaders in Renewable Energy Development. About the Role:
The Offshore Electrical Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components across offshore wind turbines, offshore substations (OSS), and associated infrastructure. The technician ensures that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical components including HV, MV, and LV systems.
- Inspect and maintain switchgear, transformers, cable systems, and protection relays on turbines and OSS.
- Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems and instrumentation.
Offshore Work Execution
- Support energization and de-energization procedures under proper safety protocols (LOTO).
- Work in coordination with marine logistics for safe transfers and work execution offshore.
- Assist in commissioning or retrofitting activities, as needed.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Work in strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and offshore safety procedures (e.g., HV permits, confined space, working at heights).
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete maintenance logs, fault reports, and test records accurately and timely.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for task tracking and documentation.
- Provide feedback to the O&M and engineering teams for system performance improvements.
