The company is highly experienced and well ognized industry leaders in Renewable Energy Development. About the Role:
The WTG Commercial Manager will be accountable for all commercial aspects of the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package on an offshore wind project. The role involves overseeing procurement strategy, contract negotiations, risk management, financial forecasting, and supplier relationship management. Working closely with technical, legal, finance, and project teams, the Commercial Manager ensures value for money, contract compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the WTG package in alignment with overall project goals.
- Support investment and budgetary decisions by providing commercial analysis and forecasts.
- Prepare and maintain package-specific cost models, budgets, and risk registers.
2. Procurement & Contracting
- Lead or support the procurement process for the WTG package, including RFIs, RFPs, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with legal and technical teams to finalize contract documentation (EPC, TSA, FSA, LTSA).
- Manage contract change processes, claims, and variations in a proactive and strategic manner.
3. Contract & Supplier Management
- Act as the commercial focal point for the WTG supplier(s) post-contract award.
- Monitor performance against contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
- Support project delivery team with commercial input for decision-making and reporting.
4. Risk & Cost Control
- Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks and opportunities within the WTG package.
- Monitor cost performance and support monthly reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure alignment with project financial targets.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the WTG Package Manager, project controls, finance, legal, engineering, and HSE teams.
- Ensure commercial alignment across package interfaces (foundations, T&I, electrical, etc.).
6. Reporting & Governance
- Prepare commercial reports for internal stakeholders and steering committees.
- Contribute to project audits, reviews, and investment decisions.
