NextWave Partners is working with a leading developer seeking a Vice President to join the Utilities-facing business development team as a contract originator. The Utilities team sources and negotiates long-term contracts for large-scale (~2-20MW) energy storage systems with electric utilities (typically municipal and rural cooperative utilities) throughout the United States. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for personally generating revenue
• Drive business with new utility customers by originating long-term agreements for the output of energy storage and solar generation
• Contacting new potential customers via phone or email, personally developing long-term relationships,
• Rigorously maintaining records in the CRM database
• Driving negotiations to successful completion

Requirements

• Strong origination ability
• Deep experience (5+ years) negotiating contracts
• Deep understanding of the energy sector
• Willingness to travel at least 25%
• Proven ability to operate independently
• Self-starter with a growth mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• An entrepreneurial drive
