About the Role
We are working with a leading renewable energy company dedicated to harnessing the power of offshore wind and are seeking a Supply Chain and Procurement Leader to join their growing team in Tokyo.



Responsibilities

  • Overseeing procurement and nurturing supplier relationships throughout the project lifecycle, from initial business development to project execution and power offtake bids.

  • Engaging closely with local suppliers and stakeholders to cultivate strategic partnerships.

  • Providing comprehensive insights into local capabilities and constraints.

  • Assisting in the formulation of supply chain development strategies and adopting a strategic

    approach to support our local content objectives.

  • Actively representing the company in industry supply chain networks.

  • Contributing to the establishment and growth of the local Supply Chain Management (SCM)

    organization and collaborating with the category management team.

  • Ensuring the alignment of product line deliveries with project requirements and frameworks.

  • Planning and coordinating activities to ensure timely completion within set schedules, budgets,

    and business objectives.

  • Serving as an integrator for procurement packages/services across projects.

  • Proactively managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally with partners.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree.

  • Experience in project development.

  • A comprehensive understanding of offshore wind business cases.

  • Strong awareness of offshore wind supplier markets and expertise in establishing and promoting

    local content.

  • Solid experience with local legislative environments and contractual agreements.

  • Extensive knowledge of local offshore wind supplier markets and proficiency in local content

    establishment.

  • Significant sourcing experience and proficiency in contract drafting and management.

  • Experience supporting large-scale, high-value activities with a strategic and commercial mindset.

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Proficiency in risk assessment and management.

  • Ability to foster trust, respect, and teamwork.

  • Demonstrated high levels of personal integrity and ethical awareness.
