About the Role:
The WTG Engineer supports the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) in offshore wind projects in Taiwan. This role ensures technical compliance, quality assurance, and coordination with OEMs and contractors across the WTG lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the technical focal point for WTG engineering matters throughout design, procurement, construction, and O&M phases.
Interface with WTG OEMs to review and approve designs, technical documentation, and compliance with local regulations.
Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), pre-assembly activities, and quality inspections.
Oversee the offshore installation, mechanical and electrical completion, and commissioning of WTGs.
Monitor technical performance, reliability, and fault reports during commissioning and early operations.
Provide input to method statements, risk assessments, and lifting/installation procedures.
Collaborate with electrical, SCADA, foundation, and cable package teams to ensure full integration of the turbine system.
Participate in punch list management, issue tracking, and resolution with OEMs and contractors.
Ensure compliance with local Taiwanese regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirements.
Support document control, QA/QC processes, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Offshore wind project experience is highly preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
2-5 years of experience in wind turbine engineering, ideally in offshore wind projects.
Experience working with major WTG OEMs (e.g. Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE) preferred.
Knowledge of relevant international and Taiwanese codes and standards (e.g., IEC, DNV, Taiwan's Bureau of Standards).
