About the Role
NextWave Partners are working with several companies at the cutting edge of innovation in the sustainable fuels & green chemicals space. They span across project developers and technology developers and are among the most well-funded in the space. These companies are looking for, at varying levels, Chemical Process Engineers.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of chemical reactors and separation systems.
  • Facilitate problem resolution and achievement of key performance objectives.
  • Enhance product performance through system integration and comprehensive literature reviews.
  • Conduct testing of reactors and systems in lab/pilot scale setups, ensuring reliable and rapid data acquisition.
  • Prepare engineering documents (PFD, P&ID, equipment sizing) for lab/pilot setup of product testing.
  • Apply data analytics, including statistical methods, regression techniques, and machine learning.
  • Utilize process simulation for technology improvement and system integration.
  • Lead process safety studies (PHA, HAZOP, PSSR).


Requirements

  • 6+ year's experience (w/ Ph.D.) with at least 3 years in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering.
  • Has worked in the green chemicals / fuels industry.
  • Hands-on industrial laboratory or chemical facility experience.
  • Highly-proficient using Aspen programs and process engineering workflows.
  • Experience in developing P&IDs and control philosophies.
  • Participation in HAZOPs, PHAs, and other process safety workshops.
  • It's highly preferrable to have knowledge of data analytics (Python, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.


Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000 -160,000 base + bonus & benefits
