My client is a global developer and investor in the renewable energy sector. The company is looking to grow its team in Taiwan and as a result of this growth, they are planning to hire a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the end-to-end development of their solar project portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the mapping of the industry landscape in Taiwan
• Scouting for new project opportunities
• Responsible for the first screening of prospective projects
• Leading or supporting the negotiation of relevant project contracts, including due diligence work
• Working with the project teams in Head Office when necessary
• Leading or supporting licensing, permitting and EIA processes
• Attending project meetings with partners in Taiwan
• Selecting and then managing partner companies to assist with the project development where necessary
• Continuous reporting on the progress of each project

Requirements

• 5+ years’ relevant experience (within Taiwan)
• Fluent English and Chinese
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior experience developing energy projects in the Taiwanese energy and electricity sector
• Strong industry network within Taiwan
• Experience working with key Taiwanese stakeholders
