About the Role

NextWave is working closely with a top-tier global [gaishi-kei] leading asset manager & investment company that is actively looking to hire a Captive Development Manager to manage and lead project assessment of solar and wind capacity, underwrite and lead due diligence process to execute each renewable project.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential wind and solar rooftop projects for investment opportunities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and site inspections to determine project viability.
  • Analyze project specifications, financial models, and contracts to assess risks and returns.
  • Lead the due diligence process for prospective renewable energy investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and technical experts, to review project documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with each project.
  • Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations and incentives related to renewable energy projects.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to all regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare investment proposals, including project summaries, risk assessments, and financial projections, for presentation to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the transition of approved projects into development, working closely with project teams to ensure successful implementation.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Fluent English & Japanese speaking, written and reading ability
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development, due diligence, and financial analysis within the renewable energy sector.
    • Strong knowledge of wind and solar rooftop project development, including technical aspects, financial modeling, and regulatory considerations.
    • Proficiency in project management and risk assessment.
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
