Job Overview:
A leading service provider specializing in technical services, engineering, and compliance solutions for the wind and energy sector is seeking a Business Development Director. The role focuses on driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence in the APAC region, with potential growth into the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and secure new opportunities in onshore and offshore wind energy markets. Develop go-to-market strategies and lead initiatives to enhance revenue and market share.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and partners. Act as the primary point of contact for customer interactions and feedback.
  • Market Research & Expansion: Analyze market trends, evaluate opportunities, and identify areas for business growth, including partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Sales & Proposals: Lead sales efforts, respond to RFI/RFPs, and ensure alignment of proposals with company goals. Strategize and secure profitable agreements aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure alignment on customer requirements and business development plans.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Experience: 8-10 years in business development or sales within offshore wind, renewable energy, or maritime industries, ideally selling technical services or asset management solutions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of wind turbine lifecycle stages, including pre-assembly, installation, commissioning, and operations & maintenance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven leadership and commercial acumen.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional planning, project management, and communication skills.
  • Industry knowledge of offshore wind and related sectors is highly desirable.

Location & Travel:
The role is open to candidates across APAC and involves frequent travel to engage with clients, stakeholders, and project sites.
