​NextWave Partners USA is exclusively working with a leading developer, owner, operator of energy storage and renewable hybrid projects, that is backed by a reputable global investment management firm. Our client is seeking an industry leader for a critical business leadership hire of a Vice President - Origination to lead the origination function across the U.S.

The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. Preferably based in Austin, Texas but open to remote option as well.

Responsibilities

• VP - Origination will lead the client-focused team responsible for understanding the customer's current or future needs and converting these needs into projects or transaction sales.

• VP - Origination will network with new and existing customers including utilities and other load-serving entities, and C&I to develop strong relationships.

• VP - Origination will identify and evaluate RFPs, bilateral customer targets and develop proposals and other marketing materials as well as innovative power sales structures.

• VP - Origination will work with regulatory and policy experts to track and incorporate policy and power economics changes into corporate strategy.

Requirements

• VP - Origination will have at least 10 years of experience in energy originating, structuring, negotiating, and executing contracts in power marketing within the renewable energy sector.

• VP - Origination will have a proven track record of sales within ERCOT, NYISO, or CAISO/WECC.

• VP - Origination will have solid relationships with utilities, corporates, and industrial customers.

• VP - Origination will have strong knowledge of US power markets; to include ISO, RTO, and bilateral energy markets.
