About the Role

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Pre Construction is responsible for building and managing a multidisciplinary team. This position will work cross-functionally with Business Development, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Development, Commercial Operations, and Legal leadership to support deal progression from opportunity to construction.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Development and Project Execution Team to support the Financial Planning and Analysis team in quarterly budgetary forecasting.
  • Apply best practice project management and design principles to determine the potential design feasibility of energy storage and/or solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Support Business Development's evaluation of deal pipeline opportunities.
  • Evaluate design alternatives; lead teams and processes to optimize project design options based on permitting restrictions, utility standards, cost, schedule, offtake preference, and risk.
  • Ensure turnover of a project from Pre-Construction to Construction is done properly with an appropriate handoff meeting, and support as required thereafter to ensure no gaps in coverage occur.
Requirements

  • 10+ years of Project Management/Development experience, preferably in the engineering, design, and construction of clean energy (PV and energy storage) and/or utility infrastructure projects.
  • 5+ years experience leading interdepartmental teams.
  • Experience supporting Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and managing project timelines.
  • Task Management focuses on effectively multi-task while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems and utility requirements.
