My client is a leading Offshore Wind developer who are looking for an experienced candidate to join their team in Taiwan to lead the Procurement function for the business.

Responsibilities

• Developing supply chain strategies and plans for the business
• Managing the purchasing department, conducting performance coaching and evaluations for team members

• Leading negotiations with suppliers and vendors to determine product price and delivery schedule

• Ensuring local supplier quotas are successfully met during bidding process
• Managing multiple cost reduction projects and leveraging spending across the entire business
• Identifying and developing new supplier relationships whilst also maintaining relations with the company’s existing partners and suppliers
• Collaborating with other departments across the organisation

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a commercial field
• Be familiar with FIDIC contracts
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Previous experience negotiating turbine supply contracts for an offshore wind project
• Strong understanding of the complete supply chain for an offshore wind project
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience
