About the Role
A global organisation with proven Australian capability across both utility scale wind and solar developments. You will join an established renewable energy development team, revered within the market for consistent and cohesive community engagement practices. They pride themselves on building long term relationships, from conception through to operations and beyond.
Responsibilities As a key member of the development team, you will contribute to the prospecting, feasibility, design and planning stages of renewable energy project development, with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You will assist in identifying potential project sites, project design, resource assessment and technical studies to facilitate the planning reports.
This will include:
Evaluating potential sites for wind and solar developments using GIS.
Utilising your technical capabilities to support the broader commercial team and senior engineers to review sites, collect data and document on site findings.
Support Senior Engineers in the preparation of maps for inclusion in the environmental impact statement (EIS) documents.
Assist Senior Engineers in the preparation of maps for project infrastructure, including tracks, cables, wind turbines/solar arrays and electrical plant
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) - ideally including GIS/Spatial Science subjects
Passion and drive to contribute to Australia's transition to renewable energy and progress your career within the clean energy industry
Proactive approach, strong attention to detail and ability to meet competing deadlines.
Ability to work effectively and successfully with others through collaboration and open communication
This position is open to recent Graduates and Junior Engineers/GIS Officers.
Locations: Melbourne, VIC
Salary: Dependant on experience
