THE ROLE

This is a strategic role that will involve taking charge of environmental and social planning aspects for upcoming solar energy projects in Poland, as well as overseeing our existing operational assets. This will encompass contributing to important choices regarding site selection, project-specific strategies, and leading teams and personnel. Your role will play a significant role in shaping our overall strategy.

We value strong teamwork, and you will collaborate closely with various internal teams such as development, design, construction, health, safety, and environment (HSE), asset management, and structured finance.

Furthermore, you will be integrated into the broader global environmental and social planning community within the company. This will offer you the chance to participate in company-wide initiatives that align with your interests.

.- Main duties and responsibilities

Offering specialized guidance to influence decision-making regarding site selection and strategies adopted for environmental permitting applications and engagement with stakeholders.

Managing teams, which includes distributing and reviewing workloads, providing guidance and support for permitting strategies, stakeholder engagement, and selecting and overseeing consultants. Additionally, monitoring significant milestones in the project pipeline and handling supervisory responsibilities.

Cooperating with Heads and Directors of relevant departments to drive the advancement of our development pipeline, aiming to meet our objectives. This entails recognizing and communicating permitting risks, as well as ensuring clarity in requests made to other teams.

Taking the lead in cultivating strong partnerships with external consultants, guaranteeing the delivery of anticipated value and quality.

Supervising transitions to the Construction and Asset Management phases, ensuring that planning, environmental, and social responsibilities during both construction and operation phases are explicitly outlined and comprehended.

Providing reports on resource allocation, budgeting, and key risks.

Cultivating robust relationships with internal team members and participating in the maintenance of connections with crucial external stakeholders.

Acting as an intermediary with Co-Developers and external advisors, collaborating on permitting processes, and engaging in permit review sessions with regulatory authorities.

Maintaining current knowledge of relevant renewable energy policies, their implications, and potential solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Accumulated experience of 15 or more years in permitting or business development, a portion of which should be within the solar PV or Wind sector in Poland.

Demonstrated involvement in administrative procedures within Poland, particularly in the realms of Environmental or Spatial Planning.

Robust comprehension of the limitations posed by the environment and spatial planning, encompassing concepts like MPZP and WZ.

Possesses at least a Bachelor's Degree in a discipline relevant to the field.

Proficiency in identifying and understanding the key stakeholders prevalent in the industry.

A collaborative team player with a history of contributing within cross-functional teams.

Possesses exceptional communication skills both in conversation and in written form.

Exhibits meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrates the capacity to operate independently, juggle multiple tasks, and solve challenges effectively.

Adept at cultivating enduring professional relationships with external entities.

Fluency in English is an essential requirement.

Holds a valid full driving license.
