About the Role
We are working with a leading international IPP, expanding rapidly across Australia. Due to their continued growth and strong pipeline, they are seeking a Development Manager to oversee the later stages of their utility scale renewable energy development portfolio. This role will take carriage of new greenfield developments, once initial prospecting has been completed, bringing projects through to financial close.
Responsibilities
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project scope and budget are inline with agreed timeframes.
Collaborate with a range of internal teams including: transactional finance, environmental, procurement, engineering and grid connection.
Drive a sustainable community management plan, ensuring long term partnerships are maintained with community groups, landholders and First Nations communities.
Manage environmental approvals, including submission of permitting documents, coordination of specialist consultants and environmental studies.
Provide expert advice to the broader business, specifically best practice across land and community engagement, environmental approvals and First Nations communities.
Requirements
Ideally you will come from a Renewables/Energy/Infrastructure background as a Project Manager, Development Manager or similar.
Experience working with First Nations Communities, Native Title and Heritage Law would be highly regarded, as this position will work closely with regional and remote communities and landholders.
Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate internal and external project stakeholders to ensure timeframes are achieved
Self starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
Solutions focused collaborator, with experience working alongside a multidisciplinary projects team.
