My client is an international investor that currently holds a project in Taipei and is looking for a consent director for their Taipei office.

As Consent Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of obtaining all necessary consents to allow for the efficient delivery of new renewable projects. On each project, you will report into the Project Manager with the aim of ensuring that all the necessary rights to deliver the project options are in place.

This is an interesting role where your accountabilities will be centred around safety, project delivery support, governance and reporting, financial information and relationship management. Your principal responsibility is to ensure that safety is the number one priority. You'll deliver all necessary planning consents to support project recommendations up to construction start and provide ongoing assistance to the delivery team throughout the construction period.

Proactively working with the project managers, you'll ensure accurate financial information is provided relating to any consent work. In addition, you will be responsible for analysing and providing accurate information that inputs into the annual Project Development budget and ongoing review process.

As an experienced Consent Manager, you'll be expected to mentor and coach other teams members to enhance their capability advancement.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience in Large Capital Projects, renewable generation, and a proven track record within consenting. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant qualification, which includes environmental qualifications.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential. A commercial approach to all work is expected, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to limit risk and achieve viable solutions. 

A strong knowledge and understanding of governance around company approvals and financial management procedures will be required, as will an innovative approach when addressing planning issues and their resolution.
