About the Role

NextWave are currently working with a leading renewable energy developer who are going through an aggressive growth period and aim to double their installed capacity in Taiwan within the next three years. In order to achieve this growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Chief Investment Officer for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Taking a lead role in formulating and promulgating investment strategy across the group
  • Leading the business development and investment team across the region to originate and evaluate a pipeline of project opportunities
  • Establishing an effective and well-organized investment assessment and project development framework to prosecute investment opportunities in an efficient manner
  • Providing necessary guidance to the investment team on due diligence, risk analysis and mitigation in the structuring of complex acquisitions, developments and/or project financing transactions in leading commercial negotiation of term sheets and contracts
  • Establishing reporting mechanisms to keep the management team and the Board sufficiently and appropriately informed as to the status of the business's investments
  • Providing leadership through establishing risk measurement criteria for the management's consideration and ensuring risk assessments are incorporated into investment operations and performance measurement
  • Partnering with business heads of different functions as well as the CEO of the business to ensure that growth opportunities for the firm are identified and evaluated
  • Managing and upholding relationships with the business's investment and business partners as well as other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance
  • At least 10 years of experience at an Investment Bank and / or a top-tier Infrastructure Investor
  • Strong understanding and track record of making infrastructure investments in Taiwan
  • Due to project interface responsibilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in written and spoken English and Korean is key
