About the Hiring Company

The company hiring is a well known multi-billion $ International Energy & Infrastructure Fund focused on growing their Japan presence with their first hire on the ground in Country after making their first investment in a renewable energy development platform in Japan.

About the Role:
The Managing Director will lead investment efforts, focusing on sourcing, evaluating, and executing deals in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. In addition you will be responsible for portfolio management, investor relations, and strategy development, with a focus on driving sustainable growth and impact within the Japan market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Strategy: Developing and implementing investment strategies for renewable energy, including identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in areas like solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal.
• Deal Sourcing and Execution: Sourcing, evaluating, and executing deals in the renewable energy sector, collaborating with industry experts and legal advisors.
• Portfolio Management: Overseeing the performance of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance, and identifying opportunities for growth and diversification.
• Investor Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, including raising capital and providing regular updates on portfolio performance.
• Industry Engagement: Representing the firm at industry conferences and events, contributing to discussions on renewable energy trends and best practices.
• Leadership and Management: Leading and mentoring a team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Market Analysis: Conducting thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the renewable energy landscape.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• A proven track record in private equity, with a wide network in Japan Energy & Infra industry
• Strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including different technologies, markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong Financial Acumen in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with investors, portfolio companies, and other stakeholders.
• Able to develop and implement investment strategies that align with the fund's objectives and long-term goals.
