Join a leading renewables Investment and Development business as an Investment Associate. This organisation is an innovative multibillion dollar fund, operating across Australia and Europe, focusing on Utility Scale Renewable Energy Assets. Their Australian office is based in Melbourne, with a mature team of Energy professionals across the investment, energy markets, grid connection, community engagement, asset management and engineering sectors.

About the Role:

They are looking for someone who has a strong background in Energy and Infrastructure projects in Australia, ranging from Renewable Energy to PPP projects. This person would be at a Snr/Associate level who has strong experience in transaction origination and execution.

• Assist in origination activities including market research, the assessment of regulatory frameworks, organising meetings and reaching out to potential developers/partners

• Transaction execution: assisting the origination team in finding opportunities and structuring deals, drafting offers, selecting and coordinating advisors, conducting pro-active due diligence, challenging the conclusions and managing/ supporting the governance and investment cases for these deals to the Investment Committee.

• Liaise with external stakeholders and consultants

• Create business plans for various types of businesses, develop and run financial models for various projects and opportunities

Key experience:

• 5+ years experience in renewable energy OR infrastructure investment, preference for buy-side

• Exposure to transactions and able to work in a highly capable lean team

• Strong Financial Modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence background
