​NextWave Partners is working with a leading renewable and energy storage developer that is backed by a reputable investment management firm. Our client is seeking a Financial Associate to join its Project Finance team and support the development, acquisition, and financing of its utility-scale project portfolio across the United States. 

The Financial Associate will be an individual contributor role who will work with the Project Finance team, and support the project development team, interact with investors and capital partners, to create innovative financial approaches and solutions. The role will need to be based in Austin, TX and the client might consider the remote working option as well.

Responsibilities

• Build, utilize, and maintain financial models for utility-scale solar and storage projects and determine optimal financing structures.

• Perform project financial valuation and feedback to the project development team

• Assist in project development, project and portfolio acquisitions, deal structuring, and closing activities.

• Improve existing models and perform QC/QA across project development modeling; along with conducting market research and providing information for project financial valuations.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, or Renewable Energy.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related academic field.

• Must possess the ability to prepare and present complex project finance models, specifically for renewable energy project development.

• Knowledge of Renewable Energy Investment Tax Credit and Tax Equity modeling is a great plus.
