A large solar IPP that we are working with, is leading an aggressive international development campaign. As part of this campaign, they are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their Engineering Team to provide technical support across all areas of the organisation and business activities. 

The team is involced in all phases of a project, providing technical input to maximise the performance of the plant, optimising the required CAPEX and OPEX.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Regular requirement for out of hours work, particularly for site visits
  • contribute and support all activities of the department, which includes adhoc requirements during times of escalation
  • Ensure all new projects are compliant with company's HSE policies and standards
  • Set up and maintain performance standards for the company and its subsidiaries
  • Support the acquisition process on the technical side, including the review of the technical due diligence, yields, module inspections with third party
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of technology and market relevent PV and energy storage engineering standards including contribution to and representation of company's interests during the development of such standards
  • Ensure use of peak and proven technology, equipment and configuration to achieve optimum performance
  • Support project managers during contruction phase, work completion and PAC
Requirements
  • Fluent English - spokena and written
  • Full EU driving license
  • BSc degree of higher, ideally in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy
  • Advance knowledge of EPC/O&M contract technical Appendices
  • Advance knowledge of PV plant performance
  • Detailed knowledge of simulation software, including PCsyst, PCsol and Homer Pro
  • Knowledge of energy storage systems and industry market storage regulations
  • Knowledge of industry main stakeholders (TAs, investors, EPCs, Third Parties lab etc.)
  • Experience in designing utility scale PV plants for an EPC contractor in a competitive market
  • 5+ years industrial employment in renewable energy generation
  • Proactive, independent, flexible and driven

  • Strong organisational and good communication skills
