My Client is an international firm overlooking projects in Northeast Asia. They are an international firm with multiple portfolios worldwide and is now looking for an energy storage development manager to be based in Taipei

Responsibilities

  • Identify new greenfield standalone energy storage project opportunities, considering potential use cases and commercialization opportunities
  • Advance the development of assigned projects by managing internal and external resources to achieve land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, and other development milestones, within budget and schedule targets.
  • Work with Environmental Affairs group to design permitting strategies in jurisdictions with no precedent for permitting energy storage projects
  • Collaborate with EPC, Origination, and Finance groups to develop storage system solutions that maximize returns given commercial strategy/use cases, performance requirements, and permitting/site constraints
  • Support the Director, Development & Energy Storage on market development, market design, and policy/regulatory activities that create new opportunities for storage deployment
  • Identify, document, and implement best practices for storage site selection, site design, permitting, and community engagement, to support the successful development of projects
  • Consult with and contribute expertise to other developers of renewable (PV/Wind) plus storage projects
  • Create and maintain project control tools for assigned projects, including maps, databases, budgets, and schedules
  • Perform regional market and competitive analysis as requested
  • Collaborate with Origination group to establish relationships and originate commercial opportunities with relevant counterparties
  • Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested
  • Provide development support through engineering, procurement, construction, and financing as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Keen, demonstrated interest in energy storage and renewable energy
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building a new key organizational initiative from the ground up
  • Willingness to relocate to Taipei
