About the Role

NextWave are working with a leading renewable energy developer who are backed by a large global investment fund, to help grow their senior management team with the hiring of a Chief Technical Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all technical aspects of construction and engineering of projects across the renewables sector, especially in solar – green and brownfield.

• Lead and manage negotiations for EPC contracts.

• Oversee the end-to-end planning, development, and execution of rooftop solar and utility scale projects.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize utility scale projects for offsite locations.

• Ensure projects are completed within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Conduct thorough site assessments for distributed generation projects, considering factors such as solar potential, wind conditions, and local infrastructure.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, local communities, and industry partners.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering would be preferred

• Due to the regional scope of the role, fluency in English and Korean is required

• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience delivering conventional and renewable energy projects from development to completion

• Prior experience with solar projects is a must
