Our client is seeking Business Analyst with passion for renewable energy to join the Portfolio Management team. The Business Analyst will support portfolio-wide reporting, forecasting, risk mitigation, budgeting, and decision making. The successful applicant will report to the Portfolio Manager and work with developers, subject matter experts, and management to monitor the client’s portfolio and guide strategic decision making. The Business Analyst will serve as a key player in the execution and growth of the Savion portfolio and by partnering with an experienced local team and global investment bank.

Responsibilities

• Leads the economic and qualitative analysis of project specific investment decisions over the project life cycle
• Becomes an expert on various regional and technological strategies along with the project specific plans to provide sound guidance and recommendations to management
• Collaborates with management to develop, create, and maintain the business plan, and responsible for disseminating to the team
• Integral in the development and improvement of portfolio-wide budgeting, reporting, risk management, and decision-making tools
• Creates project level and portfolio-wide PowerPoints, graphics and other content to support all development related to reporting and decision-making needs
• Teams with the transmission team to understand and model the generation
• interconnection process across numerous Regional Transmission Owners and Transmission Providers
• Works with the portfolio management, engineering, development and IT teams to integrate the EPC function by leveraging existing tools and streamlined reporting processes
• Assembles material and helps lead monthly “Development Summits” Education
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in finance, economics, engineering or business administration is required
• MBA or related master’s degree is preferred

Requirements 

• 2+ years of experience in renewables, analytics, engineering, finance, portfolio management, or related fields
• Understanding of the PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO generation interconnection process is preferred

Qualifications

• Exceptional excel and financial modeling skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization software
• Experience analyzing data and leveraging it to assemble concise decision-making tools
• Exceptional work ethic
• Ability to handle and lead multiple tasks with little supervision
