NextWave are working with a global solar developer to identify an experienced Asset Manager to manage their portfolio of projects in Japan.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Creating and managing operational budgets that optimize cost while maintaining quality
  • Ensuring accurate and on-time payments to suppliers, land owners, authorities and other payees
  • Monitoring plant performance to ensure production is optimized
  • Conducting on site inspections on regularly scheduled occasions
  • Managing the O&M service provider partnerships and contracts
  • Managing stakeholder relationships, especially with land owners, authorities, lenders and investors
  • Managing full compliance with the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations
  • Analyzing plant data, identifying improvement opportunities and then leading the implementation of changes
  • Supporting business needs for technical due diligence requests
  • Working with the global Asset Management team on optimization initiatives

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Business proficient fluency in English and Japanese
  • 5+ years’ experience working in the Solar industry
  • The ability to live and work full time in Japan
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and asset management software platforms
  • The ability to create and maintain operating budgets
  • A successful track record of negotiating with and managing external parties
