About the Role
NextWave are working with a global renewable energy organisation who are looking to hire an experienced Senior Electrical Lead to work on the delivery and operations of several geothermal power projects across Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of monitoring grid performance and capacity constraints for operating assets; lead coordination with the system operator on curtailment issues, outages, and ongoing interconnection compliance.
- Apply knowledge of national grid codes, utility standards, and evolving regulatory frameworks to ensure operational compliance; collaborate with O&M teams and external consultants to evaluate system performance and implement corrective actions.
- Manage relationships with EPC contractors and equipment suppliers for ongoing support, warranty claims, retrofits, and upgrades; lead technical and commercial assessments of replacement parts or enhancements.
- Provide engineering oversight to support asset management, performance optimization, and risk mitigation-contributing to cross-functional workstreams across commercial operations, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
- Support development of maintenance schedules, asset life-extension plans, and performance improvement initiatives; identify and address operational bottlenecks and ensure alignment with contractual obligations and performance guarantees.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years' experience in electrical engineering roles related to project operations.
- Proficient in English communication due to interfacing responsibilities
- Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely and effectively within cross-functional teams
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Right to work in the USA
