From Next Wave Partners we are looking for an Investment Advisory Senior Associate for a leading investment firm focused on the investment of capital to support the sustainable development of emerging markets. The firm has an established and recognized reputation for transaction and investment advisory services in these markets. Their clients include some of the world's leading companies and recognized organizations.

REQUIREMENTS

More than 5 years experience in top tier banking, consulting, private equity or similar.

Bachelor's degree required and MBA or other advanced degree desirable.

Knowledge of (or previous work experience in) the Central American investment landscape.

Experience working in developing countries

Fluency in English and Spanish

A professional with experience in capital mobilization, entrepreneurship, and small business will be a plus.

Network and contacts in Salvador's business landscape would be a plus.

Leadership skills; preferably in agile and fast-moving environments.

Excellent analytical and self-discipline skills; critical thinking, structuring problems logically and developing and applying solutions.

Excellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical skills in complex and uncertain tasks.

Experience in corporate finance and familiarity with business valuation and appraisal techniques.

Excellent personal skills; ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences

Comfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing context.

Willingness to work and live in an environment that can be challenging.

Experience working with a range of stakeholders (including private equity firms, development finance institutions and development agencies) to support investments in high impact sectors.

You should have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Passionate about creating lasting change in frontier markets.

Interest and experience in international trade and investment programs would be an asset.

THE ROLE

We are recruiting a Senior Associate to join the team in El Salvador. As a member of the transactions team, you will actively contribute to a powerful intervention that has the potential to have a significant impact on investment in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as build the firm's long-term presence in the region.

This is an investment firm. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting macroeconomic market assessments and providing support to investment transactions.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the technical and operational aspects of the implementation of the company's mandates in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Manage project performance and oversee the reporting of all project activities and results to key stakeholders of the program

Manage the facilitation of investments. This includes:

Identifying and evaluating transactions

Identifying and rigorously evaluating investment opportunities

Market assessment and ongoing market analysis

Conducting macroeconomic, regulatory and operational assessments

Providing sectoral analysis of priority areas for investment

Sourcing investors

Investor relationship management

Transaction support

Managing complex transactions
