Associate General Counsel
Reports to: Vice President Legal/General Counsel

Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, OCI Enterprises Inc. is a vibrant, fast-paced company having three divisions, two of which are focused on renewable energy, including developing, owning, operating and financing utility-scale photovoltaic solar and ESS projects in ERCOT and other markets (OCI Solar Power LLC), as well as manufacturing photovoltaic solar panels (Mission Solar Energy). Another division produces sodium percarbonate, used in a variety of cleaning products (OCI Alabama LLC).

Job Summary:
Under supervision by the Vice President Legal/General Counsel of OCI Enterprises, the Associate General Counsel will function in a highly visible, fast-paced and intellectually rigorous position providing legal support to OCI Solar Power LLC and OCI Alabama LLC. Tasks will include drafting and negotiating agreements, monitoring regulatory and policy developments, and assisting the business units to identify and mitigate potential risk.

Essential Functions

• Provide general support for the company's solar development business as relates to land acquisition, interconnection and transmission, EPC, PPAs, finance, tax equity, and MIPAs/PSAs
• Provide general support for the company's chemicals business as relates to supply, sales and transport agreements
• Supervise work of outside counsel and other experts that the company may retain
• Manage corporate and legal record-keeping for the company and its subsidiaries
• Meet timelines, budgets and project objectives

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor Degree from a top-rated United States law school and licensed to practice law in Texas; or licensed to practice law in another state with the ability to promptly obtain licensure to practice in Texas through reciprocity
• 3-5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer with an emphasis on commercial transactions, M&A, and/or real estate transactions; strong preference for prior experience in the electric power industry, including renewable or conventional power projects
• Highly motivated, intellectually-curious, self-starter that can work independently on assigned projects, problem solve, and develop strong team rapport
• Unwavering commitment to accuracy and ethics
• Appetite for learning in rapidly evolving industry
• Clear and respectful communicator, strong negotiation skills; communicate complex subjects effectively
