About the Role

NextWave is working with a leading global energy developer who is looking for an Energy Yield Analyst to join their project optimisation team. This individual will be tasked with delivering energy yield assessment services and layout designs for offshore wind projects in Japan.

Responsibilities

• Analyse wind data from LiDARs and Met Masts for energy production assessment
• Implement Wind Farm Layout Design and optimization following industry standards
• Collaborate with project teams and partners for comprehensive wind assessment and energy support
• Drive R&D efforts to enhance in-house capabilities and ensure quality assurance
• Support Site Suitability Assessments with turbine manufacturers and certification bodies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering, science or a closely related field with strong computer literacy skills
• 4+ years of experience in Wind Energy Yield Analysis
• Knowledgeable of wind energy analysis and wind farm energy assessment methods

• Experience working with industry standard wind analysis softwares
• Due to project interfaces, fluency in Japanese and English is required
