About the Role

We are working with a with an advisory firm focusing on development impact in emerging economies across the public and private sector.
The company works in highly complex and dynamic environments, and has become established as an innovative, principled and trusted advisor to clients across Africa and the world. They have a strong track record working across water management mandates in South Africa and are looking to further accelerate their growth in the sector by bringing on a Water Consultant. This position will be based in Pretoria, South Africa, and you will be reporting to the Associate Director.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and project management to drive innovative solutions to clients

• Manage client relationships

• Providing technical, strategic and business development expertise across the water practice area

Requirements

• A Master's Degree in an appropriate field

• At least 6 years of experience in water resources management, consulting and project management across the water practice area

• Have a good understanding of strategic planning, policy development, institutional and regulatory framework that underpins the water infrastructure and systems

• Ability to navigate stakeholder engagement, ideally with governments, municipalities, DFIs, SOEs et cetera.
