About the Role
NextWave are working with a leading offshore wind organisation who are growing their technical engineering team in Taiwan due to a large project portfolio. They are looking to hire an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to work on the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects they are developing.
Responsibilities
- Planning geotechnical site investigation campaigns for offshore wind farms at various development stages,
- Overseeing and maintaining the Geological and Geotechnical database for the company.
- Supervising key geotechnical datasets and leading the analysis of geotechnical data throughout wind farm development, construction, and operation phases.
- Developing geotechnical design input and analyses for wind farm sites in collaboration with geophysical engineers and the wind farm layouting group.
- Aligning geophysical and geotechnical data to inform foundations, cable routes, and installation engineering, while providing analysis of ground-related risks.
- Collaborating with all packages during wind farm development, with a particular focus on foundations and installation packages.
- Contributing input to foundations load simulation and design, and cooperating on geotechnical foundation design tasks.
- Participating in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely identification and confirmation of any deviations.
- Managing Geotechnical Investigation survey risks, action tracker, and interfaces.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Prior experience working on the end-to-end involvement in at least one offshore wind project
- Fluency English is essential due to both internal and external stakeholder relationship management duties
- Over 5 years of experience in the offshore wind sector
