NextWave are working with a reputable renewable energy developer who are developing a large offshore wind project in Japan. 

Due to the progress made on this project, they are looking for a Senior Electrical Manager to work on the project through tendering, design, development and execution.

Responsibilities

• Leading the electrical team including conducting regular interface, package and one-to-one meetings
• Preparing monthly EPC reports
• Driving a strong HSE awareness and defining HSE activates within the team
• Participating in resource hiring for the team
• Acting as Lead Engineer within the main project Contracts (Cable Supply, Cable T&I and onshore substation)
• Ensuring compliance with the onshore and offshore crossing and proximity agreements
• Coordinating and planning the commissioning setup of transmission system with other project packages
• Securing technical and commercial input for any potential Claims

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSc preferred)
• Willingness to relocate full time to Japan
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong knowledge in the design and specification of transmission systems
• Previous experience in a similar position on at least two offshore wind projects
