Title: Senior Power System Engineer and Power System Engineer

Location: Melbourne or Brisbane

About the Role:

We are working with a leading global energy company committed to providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. With a focus on delivering cleaner and more efficient energy. We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee end-to-end projects. The position will be based in Melbourne or Adelaide and will report to the Head of Projects. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing construction activities related to energy projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing construction teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Greenfield Origination Strategy: Collaborate with Project Developers and Land Managers on updates and execution.
  • End-to-End Grid Connection Responsibility: Manage the connection processes of Solar and Storage projects from pre-feasibility to commissioning.
  • Timely Connection Offers: Ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of connection offers.
  • Risk Management Collaboration: Work closely with project developers to handle connection risks, timelines, and budgets.
  • Contract Review and Analysis: Review and analyze connection agreements in coordination with Legal and Site & Permit departments.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain communication with external stakeholders such as AEMO, NSPs, OEMs, and consultants.
  • Regulatory Adaptation: Stay updated on regulations (NER rules, AEMO reports, REZ declarations) to optimize grid connection strategies.
  • Market Intelligence Management: Stay informed on capital costs related to interconnection for well-informed decision-making.
  • Internal Stakeholder Advisory: Effectively communicate and advise the business on interconnect-related risks and mitigations.
