​My client is a leading Offshore Wind developer who is looking for an experienced candidate to join the project team and oversee the end-to-end electrical engineering works for an offshore substation in Taiwan.

Responsibilities

• Preparing technical requirements related to the structural engineering package

• Evaluating tender proposals from subcontractors

• Managing the sub-contractor within your scope to ensure the offshore substation design and execution is of the highest quality

• Reviewing and managing the sub-contractor with regards to the general offshore substation layout and the electrical and equipment design

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including the Transport & Installation Manager, Structural Manager, O&M Manager and the Technical Advisor

• Regularly visiting the contractors’ or subcontractors’ sites in-country or internationally as required

• Responsibility for all HV/MV and LV equipment

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)

• Previous experience working as an Electrical Manager for an offshore wind substation from conception to completion

• Experience managing EPC Contractors

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in offshore wind energy

• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Previous experience in Asia is desirable
