About the Role
NextWave are working with a leading global offshore wind developer who have several projects in various stages across the North America region. They are now looking to use these assets as a catalyst to gain more projects under their portfolio and are looking to hire a Head of Origination to lead this.
Responsibilities
- Originating and identifying opportunities in mature and new North American markets
- Creating commercial and technical overview and initial business case when entering into new projects and initiatives
- Overseeing development partnerships in the North American region
- Responsible for the company's development activities until entry into projects are finalised
- Representing the company's interest towards partners and key stakeholders for projects in the origination and development phase
- Leading strategic projects ensuring full readiness for implementation
- Accountability for Growth Review input and strategy, as well as market specific input for the North American business
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a relevant field
- Due to the location of the role, prior experience in the US is key
- Due to the regional scope of the role, fluency in English is key
- A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with a developer, utility or investor in a similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
