About the Role
NextWave are working with a leading global offshore wind developer who are developing several offshore wind projects in Taiwan. Due to the early stage of this important project, they are looking for an Environmental Consent Manager to work with the development team and help lead the project through to financial close.
Responsibilities
- Leading the consenting process from end-to-end to develop, construct and operate offshore wind assets, in close cooperation with the EPC team
- Ensuring the timely application of all required consents, permits and leases
- Managing the compliance of consenting and leasing obligations
- Leading the DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX inputs related to consents and leases
- Managing both internal and external stakeholders including the project team, consultants,contractors, investors, lenders, regulators, land owners, NGOs, public and other developers
- Supporting country management activities as part of the management team when necessary
- Leading the EIA and other application processes for new projects
Requirements
- Master's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent
- Prior experience leading the consenting process of an energy or infrastructure project in Taiwan
- Prior experience working with regulators and interfacing with authorities at different levels in Taiwan
- Due to the interface management responsibilities, fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential
