Our client is a global independent power producer/leader in the renewable energy sector. As part of their aggressive expansion globally, are now looking to expand the team in Seoul, Korea.

Your functions

• Lead by example to build a safety first and risk management culture
• Lead a team of engineers and designers in the preparation of designs, and assessment of designs prepared by external parties, for solar/wind power generation systems in Korea.
• Assist with the development of systems and processes to maximize efficiency in design and engineering
• Develop and manage a team that can efficiently and accurately design and engineer new systems
• Lead the engineering of solar/wind systems to Korea specific customs, practices, codes and standards and to suit local environmental and geotechnical conditions
• Work with our central design and engineering team, network of trusted and capable engineering consultants, technical advisors and external design contractors to support the team as required

Your skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications in an engineering, science or related field
• At least 10 years of design, engineering and relevant team leadership roles in the development located in Korea
• Training or experience in the development in AutoCAD, Helios and PVSyst or similar design and engineering platforms
• Prior experience in leading a design and engineering team within a business or major project
• Proven ability to drive production of designs and engineering solutions in a high paced construction environment while problem solving complex issues as they arise
• Fluent written and verbal Korean, business level written and verbal English
• Able and willing to travel from time to time throughout Korea from a Seoul base
