A large European renewable energy developer looking to strengthen its position on the Brazilian solar market.

Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the role will take on the responsibility to originate and negotiate electricity contracts (PPA’s) with major energy users in the country.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities with customers in the market and developing relevant solutions
  • Developing energy solutions across regulatory frameworks (Distributed Generation, Free Market and Self-Production)
  • Secure private wire solar PPA
  • Undertaking sales forecasting and effective management of pipeline
  • Work with legal department to negotiate terms and Power Purchase Agreement contracts
  • Liaise with development and other departments within the company overseeing the different stages of the project

Experience and knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of the Brazilian energy market and excellent network of different corporate energy users (specifically finance and procurement departments)
  • Technical knowledge of renewable energy systems with a preference for prior experience in developing energy projects
  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record in successfully selling energy solutions within the I&C sector on the long term basis

  • Confident and well-spoken/written individual
  • Accomplished networker with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Excellent sense of presentation and professionalism
  • Fluent in both English and Portuguese (compulsory)
  • Company is unable to provide visa sponshorship for this position
