NextWave Partners is currently working with a leading International Solar PV Developer in their search for a Commercial Battery Storage Manager.

As part of the European Power Markets Team , this position will be essential to the development of strategies to support the commercial goals and objectives of the company, including pipeline development, revenue contracting, partnerships and key stakeholder management, in particular identifying opportunities and creative business models for collocated energy storage, and new technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities include;

  • Identifying and developing market opportunities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) co-located with solar pv to enhance the projects pipeline and returns.
  • Identifying and responding to opportunities for other new or flexible technologies such as hydrogen with the development teams in our active European markets
  • Developing strategic partnerships and innovative routes to market to secure revenue to support collocated solar plus storage project development.
  • Understand developments in the European markets and energy policy and the impact these will have on power markets, flexibility opportunities including storage and hydrogen marketing to maintain the company's place at the forefront of the market
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as technical storage, finance, engineering and construction across the broader organization to manage opportunities strategically.
  • Ability to run the techno-economical hybrid model to identify the optimal revenue for each opportunity.

It asks for a candidate with:

  • Strong understanding of European Power and Ancillary Services markets.
  • Utility-scale renewables experience, including energy storage (ideally in the UK/Italy/Spain).
  • Knowledge of stacking varying revenue opportunities for collocated solar plus storage for value optimisation.
  • A proven record of executing complex energy transaction or projects.
