About the Role

NextWave is working with a leading offshore wind developer who is looking for an assistant accounts payable manager to oversee accounts payable and value-added tax (VAT) functions for one of three large-scale offshore wind projects actively being built in Taiwan. This includes managing VAT filings and refunds, and driving improvements within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring Accurate Payments:

  • Review invoices and supporting documents for completeness and approval before processing payments.
  • Verify data entry of all invoices into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Post approved invoices into the accounting system.

Vendor Management:

  • Maintain accurate vendor master data.
  • File and organize copies of vouchers, invoices, and relevant correspondence.

Payment Management:

  • Monitor accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
  • Process employee reimbursements and travel expense claims.

Tax Compliance:

  • Gather necessary information for Value Added Tax (VAT) filings and refund applications.

Process Improvement and Team Support:

  • Contribute to streamlining accounting operations as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly closing procedures, collaborating with managers.
  • Train and guide colleagues on the Vendor Invoice Claim (VIC) process in the ERP system.

Transparency and Support:

  • Provide all necessary information during audits or internal control framework reviews (ICFR).
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Manager and other members of the CFO department with additional projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (Economics, Commerce, Finance) or similar field.
  • Around 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles (bookkeeping, tax).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Fluency in Mandarin; effective communication in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or MS Dynamics 365 preferred.
