About the Role

Our client is seeking out highly skilled Transmission Planning Engineers to fill multiple positions within their company. They are a leading Power consultancy within the industry and are looking to expand their Transmission team with talented individuals who are self motivated, driven, and skilled.

Responsibilities

• Performs power system analysis, including power flow, short circuit, and stability analysis, using software tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, or equivalent.
• Prepares interconnection applications and associated documentation for projects across various North American regions.
• Supports the development and validation of models for generation and load interconnection projects.
• Leads or participates in project study meetings.
• Works well as a sole contributor and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant experience in transmission planning
• PE Registration (Preferred but not requred)
• Knowldge of power-system simulation software such as PSS/E, PSS/MUST, PSLF, TARA or PSCAD.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of electric power systems and renewable energy.
