About the Role
NextWave is working with a global renewable energy developer who are searching for a Grid Manager to lead the grid connection efforts for a major offshore wind farm in the UK. This person will be responsible for managing the technical expertise, regulatory compliance and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the connection of offshore wind farms to the grid, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with regulatory standards
- Optimise the performance and reliability of grid infrastructure, implementing best practices for maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with grid operators, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to manage grid connection projects and address technical challenges
- Ensure all grid operations and connections comply with local, national, and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards
- Monitor grid performance data, analyse trends, and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- Proven experience in grid management, preferably within the renewable energy sector
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for grid connections
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Due to project interface responsibilities, being located in the London area is required
