About the Role

We are working with a leading developer in the solar and energy stotage sector which is rapidly growing in Japan and are seeking a Technical Project Engineer to join their expert team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with headquarters and the Japan office to provide technical support for project requirements.

• Compile and submit application packages for grid connection to utilities.

• Conduct meetings with utility providers and government agencies for project coordination.

• Perform initial technical analyses for new projects, including site visits and surveys.

• Manage third-party vendors, ensuring legality and engineering accuracy of project documents.

• Provide support and technical oversight for new projects, including field surveys and coordination with teams.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical or engineering role in the energy sector.

• Native proficiency in Japanese, with business-level English communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Office and MS PowerPoint.

• Preferred skills in PV syst and AutoCAD.

• Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Frequent travel required within Japan and some visits to the HQ in Europe.
