About the role

NextWave Partners are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager for Floating Wind Projects in Korea. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and supply chain management for our floating wind projects, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. This position involves collaboration with various internal departments and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budget, and schedule requirements for floating wind projects in Korea.

  • Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers, contractors, and vendors, fostering strong relationships to secure favourable terms and conditions.

  • Lead the procurement process from RFQ/RFP issuance to contract negotiation and award, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and technical teams to understand project specifications and requirements, providing procurement expertise and guidance.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, cost-saving opportunities, and innovative solutions for project procurement.

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including vendor performance evaluation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee inventory management, logistics, and delivery schedules to maintain project timelines and mitigate potential disruptions.

  • Prepare and present procurement reports, budget forecasts, and risk assessments to senior management and project stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technologies related to offshore wind procurement, sharing knowledge within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing within the renewable energy, offshore wind, or maritime industries.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and negotiation techniques.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and optimize procurement strategies.

  • Proficiency in English and Korean languages (written and spoken).
