About the Role

Client formerly built and sold one of the first large-scale utility energy storage dev shops (they did greenfield and toll projects). Since their exit ~1.5 years ago, they are launching another development shop but this time focused on developing Commercial Scale EV Charging stations.

Responsibilities

• The role is for the Head of Project Development, who will have experience across the full lifecycle of projects development - land acquisition, environmental, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate and design and ideally focused on California to start with.
• Develop sites to NTP ready and manage all aspects of site control, interconnection, permitting and preliminary design.
• Hire and lead an exceptional team of development staff and provide day-to-day management and coaching, fostering a constructive and rewarding culture that enables rapid growth and value-creation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of renewable energy, M&A and development in solar and energy storage.
• Starting as IC but quickly building a team. The position will have resources to build and diversify the team as needed from a talent/specialist perspective. First hire (4th person in the company).
• The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in developing projects, especially Solar and Storage projects, if possible some exposure to EV but that's not a deal breaker.
