Join a growing AI and Machine Learning team to lead a diverse group of Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers and Software Engineers. You’d be expected to guide and lead the production of this advanced analytics tool, while working on cutting edge technology including Microsoft cloud stacks, open-source coding languages and Big Data tools. All the while working with senior leadership and strong research teams that back up the machine learning models in this product. 

Your team would be responsible to develop complex software and ensure they can scale up smoothly while processing Big Data volumes and accommodating a variety of new users.

Responsibilities

• Manage a senior group of AI Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers, taking lead in ensuring products are delivered on time
• Be able to help troubleshoot and mentor anyone that needs it on the team, being the subject matter expert in all AI and Data related matters
• Ability to be a hands-on leader, who can lead from example and engineer software code or operationalize machine learning algorithms like classification, regression, clustering, time-series forecasting, recommender system, text analytics and maybe deep learning to make a fully operational data product
• Expert on Big Data and Cloud systems, helping design and architect data piplines to ensure that solutions are monitored end-to-end
• Program on machine learning platforms with Python, R and/or Azure ML
• Communicate with senior leadership and various stakeholders to ensure standards are kept and realistic timelines are set
• Career coach to those under them, with the ability to develop and groom talent
• Forward-thinking leader, with the ability to recruit and grow the team in areas it needs development in
• Understand the product and ensure that it is able to solution to clients in the way they need

Requirements

• Holding a Masters or PhD in Analytics, Computer Science or related fields
• Have 8+ years of working experience in technical roles, software engineering, data science or engineering. Preferably productionizing machine learning code and working in product environments
• Ideally with 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership and management role, having had to recruit, groom and develop their teams in the past
• Led large scale projects in Data and AI, with a deep understanding in machine learning models and algorithms, knowing what solutions to apply to various problem sets
• Deep understanding of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL etc.
• Proficient in Python, R, SQL
• At least one project working on Natural Language Processing techniques, preferably work experience with rich language modeling, information extraction, text classification, time-series modeling and other related NLP applications
• Experience using ML frameworks: tensorflow, pytorch, kaffe
• Have build data pipelines end-to-end
• Exposure to Cloud technologies on AWS or Azure
• Prior work with DevOps (Kubernetes, github) is a great to have
• Experience with Deep Learning is a plus
• Must be Singaporean due to sensitive nature of data
