I started my career in Recruitment in 2014 working for a small start-up, focusing on the global power sector, with a particular focus on the Middle Eastern and Asian markets. I typically worked on permanent positions at Senior Management level and above, both at the pre-execution and execution stage of projects.

I have been recruiting in the international power generation sector for a total of past 3 years, working with candidates and clients from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities.

Area of specialisation

After helping build a successful Power Generation business unit at NextWave Partners, my focus now involves growing the company's Offshore Wind practice globally.

I work with the following types of companies within the Offshore Wind sector:
• Investors / Project Sponsors (Fund Managers, Strategic Corporates, GPs, Institutions)
• Project Developers
• Cable & Foundation Contractors
• Turbine Manufacturers
• Engineering Consultancies
• Equipment Suppliers

A few of the select types of positions I recruit for include:
• Investment & Project Finance
• Contract, Commercial & Legal
• Technical & Engineering
• Construction & Site Supervision
• Operation & Maintenance
• Blue Collar Workers (Manpower Supply)

My thoughts on Offshore Wind sector

With the demand for clean energy increasing worldwide - from countries both with a stable electricity supply and countries that are under capacity - Offshore Wind presents a viable solution due to the fact it is low carbon, regionally independent and cost effective. Investment in wind power is expected to reach over $3 trillion in the next 20 years and markets in Asia and the USA are following the blueprint set by countries in the UK and Europe over recent years.

This, along with the fact that larger capacity turbines have become available and advancements in substructure technologies have enabled deeper sites to become viable, Offshore Wind will be a key source of energy worldwide in the coming years and I am excited to work with peers in the industry to play a part in contributing to a more sustainable future!
