In today's competitive job market, the recruitment industry plays a crucial role in connecting talent with opportunities. However, it is equally important to recognize the potential within marginalized groups and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Recently, our organization had the privilege of collaborating with Singapore's YMCA's Youth at Risk group in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. We conducted a Strengths Explorer workshop aimed at helping these young individuals discover their unique strengths and leverage them for personal development and growth.
Understanding Clifton Strengths
Developed by renowned psychologist Donald O. Clifton, the Clifton Strengths assessment is a powerful tool that helps individuals identify their natural talents and strengths. Instead of focusing on weaknesses, this approach emphasizes the cultivation of innate abilities to achieve excellence. By recognizing and developing their strengths, individuals gain the confidence and motivation needed to pursue their goals with vigor.
Partnering with Singapore's YMCA's Youth at Risk group, our CSR initiative sought to empower young individuals who face challenging circumstances, providing them with a platform to explore their untapped potential.
