With recent funding and great project pipelines, they’re looking to expand rapidly and need great leadership to help anchor and drive the team to Agile working styles and great product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Help guide and lead the engineering team, mentoring those needed and developing the careers of those under them
• Define and lead product development with product managers in an Agile fashion
• Be an advocate for the latest technology with the ability to work on Cloud and on Prem solutions
• Work with the team to understand the business requirements and ensure product deliverables are done on time
• Prioritize what needs to be done by the engineering team to ensure development is done to the best quality possible
• Execute the product launches and ensure they go to the market in time with the marketing and business functions
• Help conduct market research to ensure the product is the top quality provided for the market
• Be able to troubleshoot and code when required as a leader, always leading from the front
• Passionate about the industry of security and wanting to read up on the latest trends within IoT, connected systems, and machine learning to constantly improve the product

Requirements

• Holding a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Holding at least 2 years of experience in team leadership of technical software development teams
• Holding 5+ years of experience in software development, holding strong engineering or computer science background
• Experienced in working with cloud systems including AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. as well as on-prem server management
• Driving DevSecOps and CICD practices across the team
• Strong proficiency in Python, Linux Shell scripting
• Strong solution architect to help with design architecture of product roadmap
• Experienced within the Agile Scrum methodology – great to be an Agile coach
• Domain knowledge and passion to learn about network/device security
• Able to understand complex concepts within cryptography and machine learning and communicate these with non-technical members of the team
• Strong problem solver with the ability to solve problems themselves when required or guide the team to do so
• Self motivated individual, who is able to thrive within a start-up environment with the vision to thrive and excel
